Surgery in Medellín for international patients: what you need to know
Where will I stay?
We do not have our own recovery house. We recommend comfortable accommodation close to El Poblado or La Candelaria to make getting to your follow-up visits easier. If you are traveling alone, it is best to bring a companion, at least for the first few days.
How much time should I plan for?
At least 25 days in total: 5 days before surgery and 20 days after. For some combined procedures the doctor may recommend more time.
When can I fly home?
When the doctor clears you at the last follow-up visit, usually after those 20 days. Flying earlier increases risks such as thrombosis.
Which procedures are most requested?
The 360° liposculpture with waist design without rib removal, the Deep Plane Facelift, the tummy tuck and breast augmentation.
What language will I be seen in?
Spanish and English.
Do you live in Spain or Europe? Dr. Carlos Andrés Arango also operates in Madrid, at Hospital La VOT and Hospital Viamed Santa Elena. See the Madrid option.
